Young ORTEC & JLN present: SynchroMania
Who will become the best synchromodal transport planner?
At ORTEC, They have many customers that provide multimodal services. Customers like Hoyer, Visbeen and DSV all provide the option to use ferries and trains during transportation.
But how do you best transport a container from A to B? You can choose from three modalities, as they are known in the trade: ship, train or truck. But that’s not all. Which route should you take, and when should you depart in order to arrive at your final destination on time? Container transport planners are switching to synchromodal thinking to make the best choice. SynchroMania is a computer game that teaches you how to do this and what it could mean for your own work, in a fun and exciting way. Step into the world of a planner, experience this new way of working and compete with other participants to become the best synchromodal transport planner!
This game is also used by organizations such as Europe Container Terminals, European Gateway Services and Danser to educate their employees on synchromodal planning.
