We started at ALDI Netherlands, where Gertjan van Woudenbergh took us through the company’s rich history and methods. From the distribution center in Deventer, stores from Zwolle to the Achterhoek are supplied daily. After the presentation, we were given an impressive tour of the 40,000m² distribution center.
Park manager Mark van Mast then gave us an interesting explanation of the origins and interpretation of A1 Bedrijvenpark, and why Deventer is a unique and strategic location for logistics companies.
We then proceeded to DAVO Fulfilment Services, where Albert Ploeger told us about the company’s growth – from stamp albums to a global fulfillment center. During the tour, we got a behind-the-scenes look at the various services offered by Davo Fulfilment Services.
