Company visit Defense

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, Jong Logistiek Nederland is organizing a company visit to the Ministry of Defense in Soesterberg.

We are welcomed by Colonel Vink at Soldier Ketting Olivier Barracks (building 0.14), after which we are immediately put into action during a real-life Wargame. Guided by military personnel, we experience how complex and crucial logistical planning is during a military deployment.

This interactive exercise is followed by a tour of the barracks, including a visit to the maintenance workshop. Here vehicles are maintained: from light off-road vehicles and quads to heavy equipment such as the Fennek, terrain trucks, tracked vehicles and support equipment. A unique opportunity to experience military logistics up close!

Afterwards, we will have drinks with young logistics employees of Defense. Defense does not only employ (full-time) military personnel. We ensure the presence of Defense employees with different appointments, such as civilian employees, military personnel, Defensity College students and reservists. This is your chance to ask them questions about their work and find out if working at Defense is for you.
