After a warm welcome at restaurant Passant, Kyra Lemmens of Port of Moerdijk explained what this port has to offer and why it is a vital hub for the region and Europe. Then André Mast of A2B-online, Susanne Dirksen of Schavemaker Logistics & Transport and Wietse Bruinsma of Rail Cargo Information told about their organizations and underlined the importance of cooperation.
During the bus tour on the terminal of Combined Cargo Terminals B.V. Peter van Veelen told us extensively about the function of the terminal and we got a good picture of how multimodality works in practice. On our return we concluded with a pleasant drink and looked back on a successful day.
On behalf of Jong Logistiek Nederland we thank all participants, involved parties and especially Caroline Koiter and Bram Roosendaal on behalf of Rail Cargo Information! It is a nice start to our extended cooperation with Rail Cargo Information to organize another event around this theme next year, with the aim of enthusing even more young logisticians for the rail sector.
