On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, Jong Logistiek Nederland is organizing a company visit to online sports nutrition & supplements giant XXL Nutrition in Deurne.<\/p>\n
XXL Nutrition was founded in 2004 out of personal need of owner Rene van der Zel who was looking for a top quality protein shake. Since then, it has been quite a journey. From a 15m2 garage to a 10,000m2 warehouse and 120 employees. In that time, the company has grown into the largest sports nutrition brand in the Netherlands and Belgium. XXL Nutrition’s products can be ordered through their website. But today they also work with more than 900 fitness centers, HIIT boxes and personal trainers. The company also supplies supplements to hundreds of supermarkets and is present at festivals with their own Protein Bar. They very deliberately do the logistics all by themselves. When asked if it could be cheaper via a fulfillment center, owner Ren\u00e9 admits that he has never calculated it. Actually, he doesn’t want to know either, because it’s just fun to do it himself. We are very curious about this entrepreneurial mindset and would like to learn more about it during our visit. <\/p>\n
