This covered the history of Wehkamp: started with selling mattresses through advertisements in the television guide, to mail order with the well-known catalog, to now: an online department store with a wide range of fashion, home &amp; living,<span style=\"color: #808080;\"> <a style=\"color: #808080;\" href=\"https:\/\/boenderoutdoor.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">garden<\/a><\/span> and beauty. <\/p><p>During the tour of the 140,000m2 LSCZ, we looked at the automated shuttle system, the pocket sorter and the clothes folding machine, among other things. Marc van der Wal and Jasper de Vlas talked with great enthusiasm about developments and challenges in the Logistics Service Center. <\/p><p>After the tour, we broke up into small groups for short interviews with an expert from Wehkamp. During the discussions with Tjerk Walsma (Head of Buying), Aksel Scholtens (Supply Chain Analyst), Marc van der Wal (Manager Operations Development) and Jasper de Vlas (Head of Warehousing) we had the opportunity to ask specific questions, for example about the cooperation between purchasing and the Logistics Service Center. <\/p><p>The afternoon ended with refreshments and some goodies, while we took the opportunity to chat and network.
