Choose Logistics

What is logistics?

For many Dutch people it seems so obvious: fresh vegetables and dairy products every day in the supermarket around the corner. In the store you can buy products from all over the world. And the sofa you pick out at the furniture mall comes from the factory and is simply delivered to your home. But it’s not that “ordinary” at all. Behind it is the hidden strength of the Netherlands: the transport and logistics sector. Our sector is always on the move. Even when it comes to organizing logistics and responding to societal changes. We are constantly innovating. Every day we make our work more modern, better and more sustainable, together with all our colleagues throughout the chain.

We make sure everything gets from its source to its final destination. Whether it comes from far away, or just nearby, or travels from here to distant lands. We organize, transport and store. From raw materials to bricks, from electronics to fresh produce. We keep the Netherlands running. And we are proud of that.

It only succeeds with logistics

The logistics sector is indispensable in daily life and for the Dutch economy. This is the focus of Transport and Logistics Netherlands’ broad public campaign “It only succeeds with logistics” that started on August 28, 2023. Since then, national television spots have been shown, later followed by radio advertising and prominent attention on the large advertising masts along the highways.

Logistics training

Logistics training is very important for training future workers. One thing is certain: it is an industry with job guarantee and endless opportunities. It is important that students gain practical experience from the first year. This is why we work closely with educational institutions to take students directly into practice. This gives them a clearer picture of their future even during their studies. Together with colleges and universities, we provide the knowledge and contacts needed for a successful career in the logistics sector.
