We got a unique glimpse into DHL’s sustainable practices in Zaltbommel. The company shows a strong commitment to sustainability, with 11,000 solar panels providing energy neutrality nine months a year.
During the visit, Marleen Van Doornum-Nelemans and Evelien Spiel took us through their interesting presentations on the topics of goals around sustainability and IT & Digital within the organization.
In addition, DHL is committed to CO2 reduction through more efficient delivery routes and electric vehicles. The automated warehouse illustrates their focus on efficiency and error prevention. This visit highlighted the importance of sustainability, automation and inclusion in the logistics sector.
